Free Discovery Call
(45 Minutes)
In this initial call, you'll have a chance to tell me about your book and learn a bit about me. You'll see what I can offer you as I walk you through the process and answer your questions. If we both decide my services are a good fit for your project, we'll talk about next steps and how to get started!
Phase One: Development
( About 3 months)
This stage is all about making sure we create the best book to serve your goals. We’ll take a look at positioning and your target audience and what you want the book to achieve, both for yourself and for them. Then we’ll use that understanding as a guide for your narrative structure, outline, and content. We’ll also discuss the appropriate publishing path, strategy, and marketing considerations.

Phase Two: Writing
(About 3 months)
Once we have the content, I’ll use the interview transcripts from stage one to write the first draft of your manuscript with your specific voice and style. You’ll have visibility into the process along the way to make sure it fits with your vision and to provide high-level feedback.

Phase Three: Editing
( About 3 months.... But it can vary greatly!)
Once you have a finished draft, we have to polish it up and make it ready to publish! I’ll work closely with you through several rounds of edits to ensure I’ve captured all your ideas with a structure and tone that works for you and your ideal reader. We’ll then submit to external beta readers to get fresh eyes on the content and adjust according to their feedback. Finally, I’ll refine the technical details like spelling and grammar and submit it to a professional proofreader for a final polish.

​When we’ve created the best manuscript possible, I’ll sign copyright ownership over to you and your new book will be ready for publication!

Phase Four: Publication Help

You now have a completed manuscript... What's next? I'll help you navigate publishing and marketing your book as well as connecting you with those who can help you with next steps. My writing service includes providing you with the right contacts and helping you develop a plan for next steps in three sessions. If you need more help, though, I'm happy to provide additional guidance or even run the process on a per-hour basis.
