But it's taken a while for me to find the right way to do that. I originally trained as an actor and even attended theater school in London before deciding that wasn’t the path for me.

Building on my theater background, I tried my hand at screenwriting and wrote a number of short stories. One of these landed me a job as a copywriter at Electronic Arts, a major video game company, where I wrote for The Sims games. This position kicked off a career as a copywriter that spanned 15+ years. During that time, I wrote for both small startups and major companies like Sephora, UGG, and Headspace.

Although copywriting was a lucrative career, I felt unfulfilled and had gotten too far from my passion. Telling the story of a company, product, or campaign just didn't feel right. I wanted to tell human stories that resonated and informed, rather than just prompted to purchase.

I realized I wanted to work with creative, caring people who have something important to share with the world. This revelation led me back to ghostwriting, as well as writing my own book.

I have finally found a career that I love: using my years of experience and study in the art of storytelling to help share big ideas and emotional journeys that make people feel connected and empowered.

When I’m not hunched over my keyboard, I love exploring nature by foot or kayak near my home in rural Wisconsin, dancing Argentine tango, baking, SCUBA diving, and traveling.
